Enjoy the Late Summer in the Town of Rice Wine

The mirror-like Jianhu Lake,

the century-old slab stone road,

houses, ancestral temples, memorial archways and stone bridges,

and the poetic and picturesque scenery of the water town,

make people feel so delightful that they forget the time to leave.  

Here, you can look for a serene and old alley,

or an elegant winding corridor;

or listen to a story about summer by ancient bridges and rivers leisurely with a moon-shaped fan at hand.

 Time slows down at the moment.

The sun casts its light on the ancient buildings in summer.

Bricks and tiles, engraved with historical traces, are more clear in the sunshine.

 Though being here, I feel that my mind has been brought back to the old time.

Night falls,

the town becomes quiet.

What you can see are the dime lights,

and what you can hear are the whisper of the leaves in the wind.

The hustle and bustle in the daytime conceals the beauty of the Jiangnan.

Until night falls,

 can the softness and affection of the town be seen.
