Shaoxing, What a Beautiful City!

In Jiangnan, there is a city, humble and reserved. If you miss it, then you may not see the complete picture of Jiangnan. The city is rich in cultural and natural resources. It is known as the birthplace of historical celebrities, however, it never boasts and remains modest and calm as it always has been.

It is Shaoxing, a very beautiful city with profound culture. Just a few days ago, it was honored as “Cultural Capital of East Asia”.

There is a romantic and legendary story with every mountain, every lake and every street

of Shaoxing.

At Shenyuan Garden,

the memorable love story between Lu You and Tang Wan will come into your mind.  

  At the Zhu’s Family Park,

the picture that Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai facing each other in tears and being prepared to say goodbye in sadness seems to be right in front of your eyes.

In shaoxing, you can see flowers flourishing in spring.

Everything comes to life when it gets warm.

You will see that the city is in vigor everywhere you go.

Cherry blossoms in Wanwei Mountain, peach blossoms in Houshan Moutain and canola flowers at Fuzhi Mountain are all beautiful……

The scenery of spring is truly intoxicating.

 I guess even the wind will be intoxicated at the sight of it.

Nothing is more beautiful than the snow in Shaoxing.

It colors the streets, beautifies the courtyard and moistens the house……

 The lasting appeal of the snow makes the ancient city so charming, picturesque and poetic.

The Town of Luzhen

The ancient city shaoxing in Lu Xun’s novel is reproduced.

It fully displays the the distinguishing feature of the water town, with houses built along the water and boats attached to pavilion.

Shaoxing is a city known for Yue Opera which is pleasant to ears,

extremely popular and highly praised.
