China’s Happiest City has been co-host by the Oriental Outlook under the Outlook Weekly Press and Outlook Think Tank successively for 13 years, during which over 70 cities has been nominated and around 1 billion people involved in the survey. It raises broad awareness of urban happiness among people.
The China’s Happy City Laboratory initiated by Outlook Weekly introduced the BigData-based Indicator System for Urban Happiness which set up 9 first-class indicators including employment, resident income, living quality, ecological environment, popularity of the city, public security, education, transport and medical care, and more than one hundred second-class indicators.
