Waipokeng Pingqiao Village is a small but quiet village. It captures people’s attention with its clear water, lively fish and the water facilities.

Yangyu village is located at the foot of TianmuMountainsoutheast of Xinchang County. It is the junction where both water and land of the  Road of Tang Poetry in East Zhejiang converge. The scenery of Yangyu village is beautiful with mountains harmoniously getting blended with water. The national highway passes by the village, so the traffic is rather convenient, connecting people to the outside world. In recent years, the locals have made great efforts in exploring the culture of the “Road of Tang Poetry and develop the rural tourism, converting the landscape into economic productivity.

Walking along Hetian, we arrived at the Yangyu Village section of Xinchang River in a few minutes, where a wharf of the Road of Tang Poetry  has been built. Two bamboo rafts were placed on the river to allow tourists to go sailing and retrace the waterway of the Road of Tang Poetry.

Thatched houses, bamboo and wooden bridges, water wagons ... Walking slowly along the path, the lotus fields, covering more than 50 mu,seem to be endless. The combination and interaction between the lotus fields and surrounding villages become a beautiful landscape painting of the countryside.
